Over the decades, our Festival has transcended the simple status of a cultural event to become an institution that radiates far beyond our borders. The years that have shaped this incredible adventure have been filled with unforgettable moments, artistic discoveries and inspiring encounters. They have forged our Festival's reputation as a place to celebrate cultural diversity, artistic expression and friendship between peoples.
For this anniversary edition, we've prepared a special program that pays tribute to all the years that have helped forge our reputation. Artists from all over the world, driven by an infectious passion, will come together to offer you exceptional performances, and our dedicated volunteers will always be there to ensure that every moment of your visit is unforgettable.
Since its first edition in 1965, the Festival International de Folklore de Château-Gombert has established itself as an unmissable cultural event that punctuates the summers of Marseilles and Provence. Every summer for the past 60 years, Château-Gombert has showcased the dances, songs and traditions of the world on a 200 m² stage in the beautiful 1,000-seat open-air theater, erected for the occasion on the grounds of the boulodrome.
