The Hero Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary and returns to Marseille in force, promising an unforgettable experience for all pop culture fans! A festival dedicated entirely to heroes from every universe: comics, manga, comics, series, cinema, video games, cosplay and music. Held every year at the Parc Chanot, it features a wide range of events, meetings, signings, workshops, parades, concerts, competitions, games, tournaments and exhibitions.

Hero Festival at Parc Chanot

The festival will be spread over almost 25,000m2 of outdoor and indoor space in the Parc Chanot . You’ll find 4 emblematic universes.

The outdoor section will be devoted to the Medieval, Fantasy and Vikingvillages, as well as to the craftsmen’s trades.
In Hall 1, you’ll find the KONOHA universe, devoted entirely to Asia, with its Manga village, Cosplay village and signing areas. This year, for the first time, you’ll find the K-pop village, featuring concerts, signing sessions and other entertainment.
In Hall 2, the KRYPTON universe will be the zone for supers heroes and science fiction series, mainly American.
The BROCELIANDE universe will be more dedicated to creative games and books. LUDOPOLIS will be dedicated to ESport, with a specially designed stage.

This year, for its 10th anniversary, Le Hero festival is hosting the first edition of ComicCon Marseille over an area of nearly 3000 m2. You’ll discover immersive sets and cult objects! Stroll through the living room of Joyce, Will’s mother in the Stranger Things series. Take a photo with the famous Delorean from Back to the Future! Or meet famous guests!

Expect to find stands selling comics, video games, toys and merchandise, as well as workshops, conferences, demonstrations, film and series screenings, cosplay, and meetings with artists, authors, actors and other pop culture personalities.

Lunch break

Time for lunch? There’s plenty to choose from. In each area, you’ll find refreshment points, foodtrucks and other delicacies.

Entertainment and meetings

The Hero Festival is 2 days of festivities, entertainment and games. This year’s line-up includes renowned cosplay guests and international stars from your favorite series, such as Natalia Tena (Osha in Game of Thrones or Nymphadora Tonks in Harry Potter), Michael Malarkey (Enzo in Vampire Diaries) and many more.
