Discover or rediscover the city with your family
Guided tours
During all school vacations, the Tourist Office offers guided tours for the whole family. Discover street-art in the Cours Julien district, take a playful tour of Le Corbusier’s Cité Radieuse, take a storytelling tour of the legendary Massalia, or go on a treasure hunt through Parc Borely to find the famous lost treasure of the Borely family. And if you feel like it, why not explore the city in a detective story at an outdoor Escape Game? As you can see, there’s plenty to choose from, and all these tours are well worth the detour!

Invader was here
Take your kids on an egg hunt? No, Spaces Invaders ! These colorful little mosaics are hidden in many parts of the city! You’ve probably seen them before. During the summer of 2020, street artist Invader installed his works all over the Phocaean city, and there are now almost 97 of them, some well hidden. It’s up to you to find them!

Take to the high seas
On a sunny spring day, set sail and discover the Count of Monte Cristo on the island of Château d’If! Just 30 minutes by boat from the Old Port, the Château d’If offers a breathtaking view over the bay of Marseille. During the vacations, we invite you and your family to discover all the mysteries of this impregnable fortress!

Notre-Dame de la Garde, a must-see!
If there’s one thing you’ve got to see in Marseille, it’s our famous Good Mother, Notre-Dame de la Garde, towering high above the city! You can get there by foot (allow a good 20 minutes from the Old Port), by bike or by bus (N°60), but if you’re with the family, the ideal way is to take the little tourist train, which takes you directly to Notre-Dame de la Garde from the Old Port!
Please note: although the visit is still possible, the golden statue of the Virgin Mary is currently being renovated, and yes, the Good Mother is getting a makeover!
