The Mucem

The Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations is an open, multidisciplinary space.  It presents a cultural, social, but also scientific and political view of the plurality of civilizations that have made up the Mediterranean world from prehistory until today.

In order not to lose the link with their public, the Mucem offers virtual visits of exhibitions, lives, documentaries, festivals, courses and thematic tours.

The gardens of Fort Saint-Jean remain open to the public from 9 am to 5 pm, 7 days a week.

Marseille History Museum and the Ancient Port

The History Museum of Marseille offers you a virtual tour of the site of the ‘Vieux Port’ (Old Port).  At the gates of “Massalia” (for the Greeks) or “Massilia” (for the Romans), this is where the boats came to deposit their cargoes.
