The general design of the bastide in the shape of an H highlights the courtyard. Further on, on the left, stands a chapel.
Two decorative fountains symbolize the Rhône and the Saône. Beyond the last of the three terraces, a lawn bordered by pruned boxwoods ends in a circular basin: vases from the Château de Grignan are placed in the four corners.
On the sides, four statues on pedestals represent the four seasons. The parterre located on the right of the bastide is decorated with a hexagonal basin. Four other vases coming from the castle of Grignan underline the four ends.
