Some would be able to travel thanks to exhibitions, the others will enjoy a reading, a concert, a projection.. Or simply enjoy an open air walk in the Mediterranean gardens of the Fort Saint-Jean. On the ground floor, a permanent exhibition dedicated to the main steps of the Mediteranean civilizations history. On the second floor, two big exhibitions a year will be devoted to society, cities, places or human beings playing a part in Mediteranean.

The vaulted rooms in the stone bowels of Fort saint Jean, a 12 th century historical monument will feature exhibition galleries on the themes of celebration and performance.
Mucem retains a unique heritage bringing together a diversity of objects that is original in the museum world: paintings, prints on sculptures alonside furniture, tools, vehicles, jewellery, shop decorations, festive on traditional clothing etc..
The conservation and resources centre: 10 000 m 2.
Nearby the train station in district of la Belle de mai, a third site houses the conservation centre designed by the architect Corinne Vezzoni.
The place of the collections' conservation is an innovative place and also open to the public.
