The former Jesuit college in the 17th century, then Royal Observatory of the Navy and finally headquarters of the Academy of Sciences, Letters and Fine Arts, the complex now houses an elementary school.
The Academy Hall (1782-83), designed by Esprit-Joseph Brun, is rich in history and surprises behind the austere facade, with its harmonious neoclassical architecture, its elevation and its flat vault. Today, it hosts exhibitions inspired by the rich collections of the Museums of Marseille and specially designed for children in nursery and elementary school.
