In the footsteps of the "Little Prince's Path".
Walk of wonder and discovery of the Calanques of 1h - 1h30 from the Presqu'île.
In front of you, stands the highest maritime cliff in Europe, a true natural monument overhanging the sea by nearly 394 meters.
This massif, known as the Soubeyrannes and Cap Canaille cliffs, stands out for its color. Contrary to the white limestone of the Calanques, the geology of this site is largely composed of brown limestone and siliceous pebbles of fluvial origin which give it this characteristic ochre color.
In front of you, "the most beautiful and saddest landscape in the world"!
It is here that the Little Prince disappeared. It is here, off the coast of Cassis, that Antoine de St Exupéry completed, in 1944, "his walk towards God".
He was participating in the last reconnaissance missions before the landing in Provence. He saw neither the landing nor the liberated France, nor the victory of good over evil.
Thus, Antoine de St Exupéry fulfilled his destiny, that of a free man committed to collective action in defense of humanist values, that of a noble soul in search of perfection.
