An exceptional park in Marseille
Magnificent view of Marseille
The garden extends over nearly 5.7 hectares and enjoys a magical view of the Old Port of Marseille. From the Joliette district to the Notre-Dame de la Garde basilica, via the Mucem, the Saint Jean fort or the Saint-Ferréol les Augustins church, you will be able to see many of Marseille’s monuments. You can also enjoy the view of the Côte Bleue, located to the east of Marseille, and its many aqueducts. If you have the opportunity, take advantage of this park at sunset: the view is clear and the colours on the port and the masts of the boats are splendid.
A place full of history
The Emile Duclaux Garden surrounds the Palais du Pharo. The latter, intended to be an imperial residence, was offered by the city to Louis Napoleon Bonaparte, who never stayed there. It is now an international conference centre for congresses, conventions and symposiums.
