Discover Marseille and its calanques during an all-inclusive week with a professional photographer! You don’t know where to go in France during the winter vacations and you love photography? We’ve got the solution: Marseille!

Your program

Day 1: Guided tour of Marseille

Upon your arrival in the early afternoon, set off by coach to discover Marseille and visit the must-see sites of the Cité Phocéenne. From the Mucem to Notre-Dame de la Garde, via the Old Port and the Panier district… a great way to start your stay in Marseille and soak up the local atmosphere.

End the evening at Le Resto Provençal, a restaurant offering a wide range of Provençal specialties.

Day 2: Calanque de Morgiou and Cap Morgiou

After breakfast at Le Monde restaurant, departure for a day’s hike from Luminy (approx. 10km – 380m ascent). On the program: discovery of the Morgiou calanque, as well as Cap Morgiou, which boasts an exceptional panorama of the cliffs of the National Park. Enjoy a picnic in the heart of nature.

In the evening, enjoy a tasting of local cheeses and wines at Fromagerie Rousseau. Charcuterie and local wines are also on offer!

Day 3: Massif de Marseilleveyre and its calanques

Today we’re heading for the Massif de Marseilleveyre in the heart of the Parc National des Calanques. You’ll discover the Col de la Selle, the Calanque de Marseilleveyre and the Calanque de Callelongue with its small fishing port, very photogenic at this time of year, with magnificent light. (Approx. 10km – 360m ascent) Picnic in the calanques.

After a beautiful day of photographic hiking, enjoy a Valentine’s Day dinner at Le Miramar restaurant, famous for its excellent bouillabaisse.

Day 4: Calanque and Sugiton lookout at sunset

After breakfast, depart for the Calanque de Sugiton and its impressive belvedere, also known as the Crêt Saint-Michel belvedere. (Approx. 10km – 400m ascent) It’s a popular playground for photographers, especially as you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy it at sunset. A magical sight! Picnic in the calanques.

Day 5: Day trip to the Frioul Islands

Breakfast at Le Monde restaurant.

This morning, take the shuttle to the Frioul Archipelago. Comprising 4 islands, it boasts exceptional flora and fauna, and breathtakingly arid landscapes. You’ll discover Pomègues and Ratonneau, the Archipelago’s 2 best-known islands, during your photo hike (approx. 12km – 180m ascent). Enjoy a picnic in a small cove with crystal-clear waters.

Return by boat to the Old Port.

Day 6: Port Miou and Port Pin creeks

Breakfast at Le Monde restaurant.

This day is dedicated to the magnificent calanques of Port Miou and Port Pin, with their turquoise waters. From the Cassis peninsula, discover this jewel of the National Park and immortalize the moment. (approx. 8.5km – 230m ascent) Picnic in the calanques.

Enjoy dinner and a free evening at the hotel.

Day 7: Discovering the Côte Bleue

Breakfast at Le Monde restaurant.

Departing from Gare Saint Charles, climb aboard the Côte Bleue train and discover the splendid views over the bay of Marseille. You’ll stop at the little Niolon station, from where you’ll discover the calanque of the same name, as well as the fort overlooking the Côte Bleue coastline (approx. 10km – 400m ascent). Picnic lunch.

Return to central Marseille by train.

Dinner at The Queen Victoria restaurant on the Old Port.

Day 8: Free day

After breakfast, enjoy some free time in the city center to explore the Panier district, the Mucem, the Vallon des Auffes… It’s the perfect way to round off your photo and walking holiday in Marseille!

Individual departures.

The stay includes :

  • Accommodation in a double room at the Résidence hôtelière Léo Lagrange
  • Breakfasts, restaurants and picnics (except lunch on D1, dinner on D6 and lunch on D8)
  • Accompaniment by a mountain guide specializing in the Calanques National Park.
  • The presence and training of a professional photographer, with an image-editing workshop in the evening at the hotel.
  • Transportation (Frioul boat, Côte Bleue train, RTM to Luminy, coach to Cassis)
  • A guided tour of the city with an expert guide.
