Known for its fishing port, restaurants, beaches and creeks, the small town of Cassis is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. But the seaside resort is also renowned for its hillside vineyards, which produce excellent red, rosé and white wines. Cassis enjoys a favourable microclimate, sheltered from the excesses of the Mistral, invigorated by the sea breeze and bathed in sunshine.
Twelve independent wine-growing estates provide the lifeblood for this vineyard, whose production is covered by the AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) label. The vineyards stretch out in an amphitheatre right down to the sea, with the luminous cliffs of Cap Canaille as a backdrop.
