    Wonderful, diverse, native.

Les Goudes, and its quiet side (in the off-season) for sipping a drink and having an aperitif facing the sunset.

1. A boat trip around the Frioul archipelago

Located around 2.7 kilometres from the mainland, the Frioul islands are a wild, mineral landscape, patiently sculpted by waves, winds and sea spray. A rare flora, sometimes endemic, has adapted to this extreme environment, accustomed to the sun and lack of water. People have also learned to live here, and a village and small marina have developed on the island of Ratonneau. Frioul is also home to an exceptional architectural and historical heritage: the Caroline Hospital once housed sailors in quarantine, the Château d’If has protected the town since the 16th century, and the remains of several bunkers still bear witness to the Second World War.

Afamily boat trip around Frioul allows you to get as close as possible to the islands of Pomègues, Ratonneau, If and Tiboulen, while enjoying a breathtaking view of Marseille. You can spend a few hours, half a day or a whole day on this getaway, swimming in the blue waters of the Mediterranean, lounging on the beach or diving to discover the exceptional seabed in the harbour.

2. A sailing break in the Calanques

The Calanques National Park preserves an exceptional natural area, with its colourful seabed, secret coves accessible only by sea and vertiginous rock faces. A popular destination for hikers on land, the Calanques can also be explored by boat for an unforgettable family experience. Take a refreshing dip at Sormiou, Morgiou, Sugiton or En-Vau.

Embark on a sailing boat and experience an intimate connection with nature, at a different pace and in direct contact with the elements. Children and parents dream of adventure, and take advantage of a more convivial atmosphere to enjoy special, fun-filled moments. Sailing trips in the creeks off the coast of Marseille promise adventure, relaxation and wonder.

Several captains invite you to experience a magical cruise in the Calanques aboard an old rigging or an exceptional sailing boat, for a day out at sea including lunch.

3. A guided tour of the Calanques from the Old Port

A number of service providers also offer guided tours departing from the Old Port or Pointe-Rouge.

The Croisières Marseille Calanques and Icard Maritime companies offer year-round boat tours of the Calanques, taking in all the iconic tourist sites: Marseille harbour, the islands, les Goudes, Callelongue, the calanques as far as Port-Miou. Several excursions are available, with different durations and prices.

You can also opt for a private cruise aboard a motorboat. A few hours are enough to get a glimpse of the most beautiful coves and must-see islands, but you can also take to the sea for a whole day.

4. A walk along the creeks of the Côte Bleue

Between Martigues and Marseille, the Côte Bleue rolls out its seaside resorts, picturesque harbours, creeks and hills over some thirty kilometres. The Marine Park protects and enhances the beauty of the seabed and coastline, reconciling tourism and fishing.

A family boat trip invites you to discover the most beautiful treasures of the Côte Bleue, from Niolon to Méjean, from Ensuès-la-Redonne to Sausset-les-Pins. Your skipper will regularly suggest stopping off for a swim or a sunbathing session when the weather is fine.

Reaching the Côte Bleue from the Old Port gives you another view of the Frioul archipelago. From the deck of the ship, you can also enjoy an enchanting view of Marseille harbour.
