Ready to go!
We met Nicolas, our guide for the day, at the entrance to the Canebière. We couldn’t miss him, we noticed his fuchsia pink Tuk Tuk (auto-rickshaw) arriving from a distance and we started to get impatient for our ride! As soon as we got on board, we were charmed by the comfort and originality of the vehicle. The bonnet protects us from the sun, while the soft seats invite us to relax. Nicolas even suggested that we cover our legs with a plaid, but there was no need, the sun was out today. Let’s get ready for a hair-raising adventure!
A city turned towards the sea
After passing in front of the Palais du Pharo, we walked along the Corniche Kennedy. With the wind in our hair, we admired the breathtaking view of the azure blue sea, the Château d’If and the Frioul islands. Nicolas tells us fascinating anecdotes about the history of Marseille and its iconic monuments. The silence of the electric motor makes the experience even more immersive, allowing us to fully enjoy the passing scenery.
After cruising along this balcony overlooking the sea, we stop off at the Vallon des Auffes. This picturesque little fishing port offers a haven of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Charmed by its pastel-coloured houses and moored boats, we took a few minutes to savour the moment.
