Chez Fonfon

The origins of Provençal restaurant Chez Fonfon date back to 1952 when Alphonse Mounier, a kind-hearted Marseillais, transformed the Beau Rivage bar into a restaurant. From then on, the establishment became world-famous for its fish specialties such as the traditional bouillabaisse, fish in clay and the inimitable bourride. In 1996, Alphonse’s nephew, Roger Pinna, took over the restaurant until 2003, when he passed the baton to Alexandre and Peggy Pinna. With aninventive and colorful cuisine blending Mediterranean flavors (olive oil, tomato and garlic), the restaurant welcomes families, children, couples and friends to the typical fishing port of the Vallon des Auffes for a moment of suspended indulgence.
