Professionals : Bus Notre Dame de la Garde

Due to the large number of blocked coaches and traffic problems on the way to Notre-Dame de la Garde, the City of Marseille is prohibiting access to coaches over 13m50 via rue d’Endoume and 13m via Vallon de l’Oriol.

The municipal by-law prohibits

  • Touring coaches longer than 13.50 m are not allowed on rue d’Endoume.
  • Touring coaches longer than 13 m are not allowed on chemin Vallon de I’Oriol.

Work in the Notre-Dame de la Garde area

As a result of GRDF network renewal work, coaches (over 8.5 meters long) will not be allowed up to the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Garde during the week , Monday to Friday, and will only be possible at weekends from January 01 to April 30, 2025 (end date to be reconfirmed as work progresses).

Our Groups department will be able to offer you alternatives for visiting the basilica during the week.

These works will affect the following roads:
Rue RENOUX – Rue de SOLFERINO- Rue de VENISE- Rue POINTE À PITRE- Rue du BOURDON- Rue FORT du SANCTUAIRE – MONTEE NOTRE-DAME DE LA GARDE – 13007 Marseille.
Phase 1 of the works will start on the main axis: rue Pointe à Pitre, rue Fort du Sanctuaire: from January to mid-March.
phase 2 will continue on Montée de Notre Dame: from mid-March to April (start and end dates unconfirmed).
Due to the configuration of the works and the machinery present, coaches of all sizes will not be able to access these lanes during the works. Please note that there will be no work at weekends.

WEEKS
A detour via Bd André Aune will be set up for the little train, Colorbus (small bus) and RTM.
All private vehicles will be able to access the Basilica with a maximum dimension of 8.5 meters.
Large coaches over 8.5 m will be prohibited.
WEEKEND
All vehicles and large coaches will have access to the basilica. The same applies to the little train, Colorbus and RTM.
